String Quartet Concerts
Our range of well-known music lends itself well to both relaxed and more formal concerts. We play familiar favourites popular with audiences.
If you’re considering hosting a concert the classic sound of Arco String Quartet will appeal to all tastes. Our concert experience makes our service easy for you and a pleasure for your audience.
We can help with programme planning. In the past, popular concert pieces have included
- Nessun Dorma
- Arrival of the Queen of Sheba
- Salut D’amour
- selections from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons
- Moon River
- Stand by Me
- It Don’t Mean a Thing (if it Ain’t Got That Swing)
- Mamma Mia
With so many great pieces in our repertoire there’s something for everyone. Chat to us about your ideas and take a look at our music list.
Past concert venues have included:
- Sage Gateshead, Hall One
- Boardwalk Café, Whitley Bay
- Northern Stage
- Seaton Delaval Hall
- Chester-le-Street Golf Club
- The Dome, Whitley Bay
We are happy to play in large and small venues, traditional and quirky.
We often perform two 45 minute halves with an interval in between. This allows for around 26 separate tunes. If you feel that the string quartet for the full evening is not right for your audience we can share concerts with other acts.
We are also flexible on timings and concert length. Engagement with the audience can add an extra dimension so we are very happy to introduce our pieces on the evening.
We can also provide text copy and photographs for printed programmes or guides.
Can I hear you play in advance?
We have many recordings of us playing live. If you would prefer to hear us in the flesh and chat to us about your event, come along to one of the wedding fairs we are playing at around the North East. At these events we have time to play some of our music and discuss your requirements.
Do you need any special equipment?
We bring all our own equipment with us apart from chairs! Our instruments are all acoustic so we do not need any power sockets or amplifiers. If light is an issue we have our own small stand lights which we can use.
How far in advance do we need to book?
We recommend that you book as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. We would suggest that you book at least six weeks beforehand to make sure we have time to prepare the music and so that you have time to promote the event.
